Careers in the healthcare field have always been an interest to Shirley. After graduating from the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program in 2014 excelling in the Biological Sciences, Shirley has further pursued her interest in human anatomy through her time in the Kinesiology program at McMaster University. While completing her undergraduate degree, Shirley spent her time volunteering and assisting healthcare Providers through various types of treatments at numerous multidisciplinary clinics. These experiences have helped her gain an appreciation for human biomechanics and gait correction, as well as a collection of expertise in guiding patients through personalized treatment plans.

Since becoming a McMaster alumna with her Bachelor of Science with Honours degree in Kinesiology, Shirley has joined the LMC Chiropody Team in July 2018 as a Chiropody Assistant. She currently enjoys assisting Chiropodists and patients through wart and ingrown toenail surgeries, compression stocking and orthotics fittings, as well as biomechanical assessments and routine care treatments. With over 9 years of Client Services experience and a family history of Diabetes, Shirley is looking forward to assisting in your pursuit to receive excellent foot care at LMC!
