Bashar has been a lifelong advocate of healthy and active living with a palpable love for sports. In high school, he obtained his first pair of custom-made orthotics to alleviate his debilitating arch pain, and Bashar would not have been able to live his active lifestyle over the next 10+ years had it not been for his custom devices. His curiosity of lower limb biomechanics and pathologies grew over the years which ultimately influenced him to pursue a career as a “Foot Specialist.”
Bashar always had a passion and desire to work in health care, and has tailored his education to achieve his goal. His fascination with the human body and sports medicine led him to pursue an Honors Specialization in Kinesiology degree from Western University. Bashar then enrolled in the Chiropody program at the Michener Institute and graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Chiropody. As a registered Chiropodist, Bashar possess the knowledge and skills to treat a variety of podiatric conditions, while having a passion for diabetic foot management and wound care.
Although Bashar has completed his formal education, he understands the importance of being a life-long learner in order to better himself as a healthcare practitioner. Bashar enjoys attending conferences, reading scientific publications, and collaborating interprofessionally to enhance patient care. He believes in a multidisciplinary approach to health care, and takes every opportunity to establish this in his practice. Bashar’s utmost priority as a practitioner is to improve the quality of life of every patient he sees.
